Ah posting. I'm sorry I've been too busy/lazy to post anything lately. We had this "Theatre for Social Change" project in Creative Drama we've been working on. Basically, we divided into two groups and each group had to go to a dorm and do a forum scene and activities about stress. My group went to Harrison. We had to be there an hour and a half before the thing started, to do a dress rehearsal and practice. My group mostly just sat around on the couches, which is what we did at our other rehearsal. (Don't worry, we did some practice during class and such). But we had a rehearsal at Weibking on Wednesday at 9:30. Since no one wanted me to be out walking that late, I drove over to the UC and walked across the street to the dorm. But we were all so tired that we were mostly just passed out on the couches, especially me. It must have looked pretty odd to anyone walking past. It definitely didn't look like we were doing school work. Kyle walked me back to my car cause he was worried about my safety. We also ran into one of his friend's making cupcakes in the kitchen and so I got a free cupcake. Makes being out till like 11 worth it.
Anywho, back from my tangent. The actual performance. So Gilian comes in and sends us out to recruit people. So we split into two groups, me with the three older guys. What, plan that? Me? Anywho we went around talking to people and everyone we talked to was like, "oh I'm busy" and "whatever." The other group had the same problems. But Gilian was literally going into the newly opened kithen and kidnapping and dragging people to the program. And no, I'm not exaggerating. It was kind of funny. But the program went pretty good. With Gilian's kidnapping of people, we had around ten or fifteen people show up. And they seemed to enjoy most of it.
For some reason today I got so tired that I fell asleep when Carlin was at class. And I was sound asleep apparently, cause Carlin came in and was talking to me and I didn't even twitch. And I managed to take off my glasses and get under the covers while asleep. And I had a weird dream that I was still napping when I heard music from my alarm going off and I turned off the alarms but the music was still going on. I figured it was Carlin's alarm and that I had slept through dinner and it was the next morning. In reality, there was no music. My weird dreams aren't very interesting like Carlin's so, sorry. But during dinner tonight, Carlin said she wanted the chicken "corbin" bleu. I could not stop laughing.
Now I'm going back to watching "Big Bang Theory." It's pretty good today. But Penny's not in it and Amy Fara-Fowler is. Sheldon needs to get rid of her. Both my classes tomorrow got canceled because of conventions, so I have the day off. I'll probably continue looking for apartments for next year. Wish me luck.

Now I See the Flashing Lights
The weather up here is very cold and dreary. It's like winter weather right now. You know, that cold where it just through your skin and just sits there. And it gets worse after dark. So around 7:30 we hear that horrifying beeping noise in the distance. Luckily, I've heard that sound many a times, so I leap up and start yanking on my shoes, grabbing keys, jacket, and phone, and preparing myself for the alarm over my bed to start in. If you wait too long in the dorm the alarms just get louder and more scary. At least Carlin was here, so I wasn't by myself. We also met this girl, Lizzie, and we all became friends through this whole fire alarm thing. But it was not fun waiting there in the cold. Most of us were in not warm clothes and no jackets. The fire truck took forever to get there and forever to turn off the alarm. And we still had to wait even after the alarm was off. We were probably out there more than 20 minutes. All of Harrison was not happy and very cold afterward.
So, classes. Playscript was blah as usual. In Theatre History we had a presentation on Spain theatre and the group's video was really funny. So that was good. Then lunch was egg salad on toast. And for Acting, we all show up and start warming up, but Harrison doesn't show. After 20 minutes, we send someone to his office and he wasn't there. So we figure class is canceled. So a bunch if us go down to Tropical Sno for snowcones. Kyle bought me a Strawberry Daiquiri one since I always drive him places. Why we got snowcones on a freezing day, I don't know. Anywho, it turns out Harrison was supposed to send someone to tell us to not leave and he'd be 20 minutes late. So the whole class accidentally ditched. But he sent an email that he understands that the person never gave us the message. So then it was Alfredo pizza for dinner, tv, and a scary fire alarm. Now I'm just trying to warm up.

So Insane, Of the Mundane
So we just finished watching Cloverfield and we put in Enchanted to help us calm down. Cloverfield isn't really "scary," it's more suspenseful and intense. Oh, and *SPOILER ALERT* everyone dies. *END SPOILER ALERT*. But it's one of those things you should see. I mean, the cinematography and acting were epic. And I love the idea of making it be in documentary form.
Anywho, Tuesday schedule. I wake up at 6:30 and accidentally turn off the wrong alarm so I end up waking Carlin. Then we go outside and it's pouring rain. I didn't dress warm enough and got soaked, so I was freezing throughout my first class, which was American History. And the teacher says that over half the class failed the mid-term and then wouldn't hand out the tests until the end of class. So I spend the entire time worrying if I was one of the D or C tests. Luckily, I was one of the 7 A's, so that was good.
So I went back to the dorm and tried to avoid stepping on the worms, then I crawled back in bed. It was still cold at lunch, so I changed into a ton of layers. I got spaghetti, fires, and a brownie for lunch, so that was pretty good. Then I had to catch the bus to go across campus. Unfortunately, the bus took about 20 minutes to get there and then waited about another 15 before it left. So I was late to Acting. And the door is always locked, so I had to knock to get in and that was awkward. Then it finally warmed up, so I was overheated the rest of the afternoon.
There also wasn't anything that good for dinner, so I had a turkey sandwich, banana creme pie, and French toast. Yes, I know none of that goes together. So it was definitely one of those days. And tomorrow's back to my busy schedule. (See yesterday's post). At least I can watch Enchanted now. Such a good, happy movie. And I love Giselle's dress.

Today Is So Boring, I Might As Well Be Snoring
So since nothing interesting ever happens in my life, I mean, I live in cow-town Greeley for pity's sake, I decided to just post my weekly schedule. So be prepared for a dull post and sorries about that.
Modays are my busy days. I wake up at like 7. Scratch that, I get out of bed at 7; I don't actually wake up till much later. Carlin sleeps till about 8, which is about the time I leave. She hates my hairdryer cause it's super loud. Which can't be helped. It's been cold up here in the mornings, so I have to wear a sweater and a jacket, but by afternoon I'm overheated. Anywho, after I get ready, I have to walk to Holmes for breakfast. There's mostly egg stuffs for breakfast and since eggs make me sick I don't have many breakfast options. Usually I get a pastry, fruit, and oatmeal. I also drink tea and water in the mornings cause I'm supposed to cut back on the caffiene since I got mono.
After breakfast, I have to walk all the way to Candelaria to catch the bus. This morning I had the nice girl bus driver, so that was good. Some of the bus drivers are kinda mean. Luckily the bus now drops off right in front of Frasier, so I don't have to walk outside that long. And I finally found a path from the door closest to the bus stop to my first class, so I don't have to walk around the building. (Frasier is uber confusing; we all make fun of it).
My first class is Playscript Analysis, which is a bad class to have at 9. It's boring and the professor's kinda odd. It's probably my least favorite class. After that I have History of Theatre in the same room, so I pretty much don't move for 2 hours, especially since they are both lecture classes. In History of Theatre we're learning about Spanish theatre. We got to watch some video clips, like part of Man of La Mancha and Mel Brook's Spanish Inquisition bit.
After those 2 classes I have a long lunch break. Sadly, TK is still a bit of a walk from Frasier. I wasn't too hungry and the had mostly Mexican food today. Actually, I'm not really fond of TK's food. So I had an egg salad sandwich and fruit. And for some reason I wanted hot chocolate with mini marshmallows, so I had that too.
After lunch I had Acting. Today we talked about Bright Ideas, which was nice because then we just got to sit and not do much. I know, I'm lazy, but it's cold and I'm tired. Then we all have Creative Drama, so all us Theatre Ed kids walk to Crabbe together. In Creative Drama we did this fun warm up game and then started work on our theatre for social change project. We'll be preforming at either Weibking or Harrison on October 20th. We're spilt into 2 groups and each group's doing a form theatre about stress. It's nice cause it's a topic that we can all relate to. And I'm in a group with mostly guys, so that's cool.
My last class goes till 3 and the buses don't run that late, so I have to walk. It's a pain. Especially since I was wearing a sweater and it got really hot. I finally got back to the room and pretty much just vegged till dinner. Me and Carlin usually get dinner to go so we can eat in the room. Tonight was fries, Alfredo pizza, and 2 pieces of chocolate cake. Very nummy. Then we watched iCarly till Carlin left for anime club. Then I watched Chuck. Then we watched random tv and I wrote this. The end.
So there you have it. What Brittany does on Mondays. I know, epically boring. Just wait till Tuesday. Like I said, I don't do much up here.
Oh and P.S. Look to the right. Now back at the post. I have fishes now. Aren't they cool? You know, for fake fish. They're the closest thing I have to pets. Well, besides Carlin. :p

How Do We Feel About Funnel Cakes? Are They Really Cake?
So a pretty average day. In Playscript this morning we had a paper and creative project due. Some kids did monologues or scenes for their creative aspect, so we got to get out of class early. So a bunch of us decided to go down to Tropical Sno on 16th street for snow cones and funnel cakes. Its a really neat restaurant; its all 50s themed and they have a ton of different snow cone flavors. Me and Josh had to get ours to go though cause we had Theatre History after. I ended up not being able to eat mine until after class because I had to do a group presentation on England theatre in the 1500-1600s. It turns out one of girls in our group dropped the class, so I had to read her part in the scene we preformed. So I got in front of the class and had to do this part with no prior rehearsal or anything. And it was a John Webster play, which is really similar to Shakespeare. So that wasn't fun. But I got funnel cake, so I guess it evens out. I also had Dole Pineapple Whip ice cream with dinner, which I love. I haven't had any since last time I was in Disney.
I guess I was pretty wiped after all my classes and tons of homework this week, cause I fell asleep at like 2:30 until Carlin woke me up at 5:30 for dinner. Carlin left and came back from class and my phone rang, but none of that woke me up.
It's not surprising I fell asleep though, I've been super busy. Its mid-term season, which speaks for itself. My American History mid-term on Tuesday was an essay test at 8 am which I had to cram for the entire day before. Especially cause I had to draw and compare/contrast the 13 colonies from memory. Then yesterday I had my Acting mid-term, which was performing my monologue in an audition set-up. But Harrison said I did a good job and seemed to like my monologue, so that's a good sign. Then of course I had this group project and my paper/creative project I had to cram in yesterday. So sleep this weekend is definitely welcome. Oh, and I'm listening to the Wicked soundtrack right now so I accidentally typed "wicked" instead of "weekend." Good thing I caught it. And the post title is from something Chris said, so I hope you don't mind that I stole it for my lame blog.

I Am Burning Lava
So I did practically nothing today. Carlin woke me up at eleven thirty cause she was worried I'd miss this play I have to see. So I did laundry and ate lunch real quick before I had to go to the other side of campus. The play was "Bright Ideas" and it was really good. It's pretty much a modern version of "Macbeth." The actors were great and it was hysterical. Especially the two main characters. It was a play in the round, so you get really close to the actors and the action. But I was so tired that I forgot about intermission, so I thought the play was over halfway through. Luckily I didn't leave, but I almost did. By the time the play was over I had to go eat dinner. We ate with Kyle and that kid takes forever to eat. We were in the dining hall for an hour waiting for him to get done. Then I did homework and me and Carlin are watching "Percy Jackson" right now. Pretty uneventful day.
Oh, and the post title is from the play. The main guy chants "I am burning lava" and does this funny running in place thing.
