Curse Your Sudden But Inevitable Betrayal

So I guess I haven’t posted at all this year, but that’s probably going to be the norm for the year. My Anthropology professor decided that we have to have a ton of reading and assignments, despite it being a 100 level class. And I have a scene to act in and a different one to direct. So this weekend I will probably read a bunch of plays and try to memorize my lines. It also means that the week my acting scene is due is the same week that my first ethnography and first Chinese paper are due. For me taking less credits I still have a ton of work. But hopefully I’ll be able to go home more anyway.

Anywho, Kyle and Carlin went to see Beauty and the Beast tonight, which I have no interest in paying ten bucks to see. So I’m in the room, watching Doctor Who. I’m only like four episodes until the end, plus like five specials. I’ve also started watching Firefly too. Although I found out a few spoilers for the movie so I’m in no hurry to get to the end where several people die. (The post title is actually from Firefly).

Did my monologue today. It seemed to go over pretty good. It also helps that this is like my new favorite monologue. And speaking of monologues, One Act auditions are coming up. As much as I would want to, I’m so busy and definitely don’t have the energy for rehearsals on top of everything. Especially since I’m going to be running rehearsals of my own for Directing. That is if I can find a play. I ordered a bunch from the library so hopefully there’ll be at least one good one.

Other than work, there’s pretty much nothing going on. I only have one class this Friday, although we will have directing the next two Fridays. And this class doesn’t start until 3:30, so I get to sleep in and take most of the day off. It’s also Fong’s class, so it goes by super quick. Although the annoying girls from my Russian class are in there, which makes it less enjoyable. Why do girls see the need to loudly talk constantly in class? I really don’t care about every detail of these random people’s lives. Speaking of loud people, the neighbors decided seven am was a great time to start blaring “The Circle of Life.” I don’t mind the choice, but I don’t like being woken up.
