Lucky blog readers, you guys get a longer past this time cause I actually have stuff to say. For one, I am loving Windows 7 cause they have this program that lets me update the blog without having to go to Blogger. So that’s awesome. But the past few weeks I’ve been super busy.
Sunday was Footloose day. I saw the show at 2 and it was really good. I love Footloose, both the movie and the stage production. The actors were really good, especially since the guy who played the Reverend had laryngitis for a lot of rehearsals and during one night Harrison had to play his part. Apparently UNC doesn’t have understudies. After I saw the show I had to go to strike. Strike wasn’t too bad the first like 2 hours, but then it went downhill. I got a major headache from all of the pounding and sawing. All of us also missed dinner and nothing at the UC was open. Luckily though I walked past the UC and Taco Bell was magically open. I got like 3 tacos and scarfed them down. During high school strikes they always emphasize saving everything and not damaging the wood. Here, we toss all the screws and break all the set pieces to take them apart. But I was at Frasier for like more than six hours total. And I’m still feeling beat up from all the work. To make matters worse, in Electrics IP on Monday, we had more strike stuff to do by putting everything away. So I spent an additional 2 hours running stairs and going to and from Norton.
Speaking of IP, I now really love going up on the catwalk. Last time I was still nervous and had to walk slow, but not anymore. It’s really fun to hang your feet off and rest your arms and head against the rail. It totally feels like you’re free falling. And it’s even better if you just rest your head on the rail. Ah, fun times.
On Sunday I also had to drive Carlin to GameStop to get the new Pokémon game. She still has mid-terms to study for, so she locked the up in a chest and gave me the key so she won’t just play Gameboy all week. Of course now I’m hooked on Gameboy Pokémon too. So I’ve been playing an old game on my Gameboy Advance. Yeah, I’m that cool.
So I’m definitely ready for Spring Break. I still have a 60 question Geology mid-term on Thursday that I’m majorly cramming for. Bleh. But my #1 plan for Break? Besides wanting to go to Mexico, that is. McDonalds is getting Young Justice toys! Yes, I know, major nerd. But I am really liking the show on Cartoon Network.
The weather this morning in Greeley was super weird. When I left for my 9:30 am class, it was majorly snowing and sticking to the ground. During lunch there was no snow and it was just kinda cold. For my 2:00 pm class the snow had melted and it was warm. Seriously Colorado, make up your mind. Oh yeah. Happy Fat Tuesday everyone. Although I didn’t get pancakes today and that made me sad. ):
OMG!!!! You are crazy!!! How can you enjoy being up on the catwalk? It's so scary! I can't even go up there without feraking out! You are a brave, brave soul. or just plain nuts, take your pick. And yes you are a nerd for wanting to go to McDonald's for Young Justice toys, but whatever floats your boat I guess. And I really don't know why here at Columbine we have to save every screw and nail. We have like a million and all of the old ones are stripped so they are pretty useless. If it makes you feel any better, I was at reherssal until like 6, so I got reheated pancakes on Fat Tuesday. Take my word for it, reheated pancakes are nasty. Good luck on your geology mid-term! =)
ReplyDeleteYoung Justice is awesome! And I don't know why I suddenly like the catwalk, but I guess I just got used to it. I've probably spent like 4 hours up there total. But it seems like we get a lot of reheated food at Holmes, especially on Tuesdays, so I know how you feel. Leftovers are just not tasty.
